The Whole Milk from Zuiver Zuivel has only undergone the minimum required treatment.

Because the milk is not homogenised, this milk shows a natural creaming. Cream is the layer of cream on this biodynamic milk. Zuiver Zuivel strive to process biodynamic products as little as possible; this vision is also laid down in the rules of the Demeter quality mark. For food safety, they do of course carry out the legally required pasteurization of milk. Why do they strive for minimal editing? In the biodynamic agricultural method they assume that everything that lives has life forces. They try to preserve these life forces as well as possible by making as few interventions as possible on the natural product. During homogenization, the milk is pressed through a sort of sieve under very high pressure. As a result, the fat balls in the milk are fragmented into small soluble particles. This is a cosmetic treatment to prevent creaming. The layer of cream on this biodynamic milk is something to be proud of, as it symbolizes the purity of the milk.
