Whole cane sugar "Panela" is raw, unrefined sugar. It is obtained by concentrating the juice of sugar cane. This traditional process keeps the original natural nutrients (vitamins, minerals and vegetable fibres) as well as the characteristic taste of sugar cane. The Panela SolAlter is produced by farmers from the COPROPAP association on the side of the Andes mountain range (at 1400 m above sea level). SolAlter is a member of MINGA, an association for the development of a fair economy.
